Sumatran Tigers

In Sumatra tigers are in many ways different from others. They are also in danger. They are the smallest in the world. They are 60cm tall and 250 cm long. There are less than 400 left in the wild. They live in forests, by rivers and swamps.

We must act right now to save them. Indonesia is where Bali, Java and Sumatra are. On Bali and Java, the tigers have gone. Sumatra is the only island in Indonesia that still has these tigers.

Tigers are very beautiful. It would be a shame if they became extinct.

Most tigers are a lot bigger than the Sumatrans, so this strain of tiger is decidedly unusual.

It would be such a tragedy if these wonderful creatures ever became extinct. What a mess we have made of our earth!

Well done for raising awareness of this extremely important topic and congratulations on such an interesting and well written blog.

Its wonderful of you to raise awareness of the tiger situation! I have to say that Tigers are my fave. They are incredibly beautiful creatures, graceful yet tough. Your blog will help spread the word about the Sumatrans, and I wish you lots of luck with it.

    hugs,
