Palm Oil

Rainforests are being cut down to grow palm oil trees and not only tigers and sunbears are getting scarce, so are orangutans. Palm oil (as far as I know) is used as a biofuel, in Nestle products, peanut butter, other foods, cosmetics and all sorts of things, so check ingredients!

If possible, don’t use palm oil because then you will help the animals that are endangered through cutting down rainforests, and will also protect the trees. I will give up Nestle products for a start.

I’m with you, James. I prefer my food unadulterated anyway so I always check labels.

    Good luck with your campaign.

Nestle has far too many bad (evil almost) business practices. Unfortunately, where I live (Jordan), Nestle seems to own everything! I avoid it as much as I can anyway. I prefer olive oil anyway, and so I support the local growers.
